On Wednesday, 9 October, the iconic Google Doodle was created by award-winning artist Lizzie Emeh, a trailblazing singer-songwriter who made history as the first person with a learning disability to release a UK-wide album, Loud and Proud.
Born and raised in Notting Hill, London, Emeh is of Irish and Nigerian heritage. As a baby, doctors told her parents that she would never walk or talk, but by the age of four, she defied their predictions.
Emeh’s talent was first recognized in 1999 at an open mic night, where she became involved with Heart n Soul, an arts organization dedicated to fostering an inclusive future
